The M37

Let me go on record right now with this sentence:  The M37 is NOT a Jeep…It is a truck.

 The M37 is a Dodge truck, roughly the same as a power wagon.  The particular Model that we have is a 1953—used during the Korean War.  We bought the truck from (SellerID) on eBay, and had a very pleasant experience.

 The previous owner of this truck renovated and refurbished it and gave it its current paint job.  We’ve had a lot of fun with the truck going on short outings.  Here, you can see the truck took part in a convoy at a July 4^th parade.  Lauri ann…true to form decided that if she was going to ride in a period automobile…she would be period as well.  Trevor is on the lookout for a period uniform…it should be fun…but we digress.

The paint job is wholly inaccurate, the M37 was originally an Air Force vehicle, and as such should have a dark blue paint job.  Trevor is fond of pointing out that the truck is confused.  It was born as an air force truck, has marine parts, and is painted Army green. 

But that isn’t the half of it.  Portions of the truck show desert tan color.  As it has the original hood, great care will be taken to remove the paint to get the original serial number and display the truck to its advantage.

 Trevor’s ownership of the M37 has sparked his membership in the MVCC, where he has become webmaster, and that has helped out a lot, because he has been given so may wonderful additions to his truck and we’d like to thank them now:

      Restored and repainted by Man’s Name in Reno, NV

      Traveled to Sedalia for July 4^th parade’s military pride convoy

Attended the Labor day Parade in Black Forest Colorado

Attended the Veteran's Day Parade in Colorado Springs and 2005 Army Air Force football game

    Was re-stenciled US Air FORCE for the Parade
